On June 7, 2025, 14-year-old Camden Trail of Bassett, Virginia, tragically passed away following a midair motocross collision during practice at East Bend Motorsports in North Carolina. Despite immediate medical assistance, Camden succumbed to his injuries. The track confirmed it was an unavoidable accident, with no blame placed on either rider.
Camden, born in 2011, was known for his fearless spirit, joyful heart, and deep love for adventure. Whether it was motocross, mountain biking, jet-skiing, or running his own lawn care business, Camden brought passion and positivity to everything he did.
“He lived wide open and full of joy,” shared one family friend.
His funeral was held on June 10, drawing mourners from across the community. A GoFundMe campaign was launched by East Bend Motorsports to support the family, and plans are underway for a commemorative plaque and the inaugural “Cam” Memorial Shoot-Out Race scheduled for June 6, 2026.
