“Wheel of Fortune” viewers are fuming again after yet another contestant fell short in what fans are calling an “unfair” bonus round. On Monday night’s episode, contestant Cherie Noisette walked away with $21,350 — but missed out on an additional $40,000 over a puzzle many say was “too vague.”
After dominating early rounds and earning a Wild Card, Noisette reached the final puzzle under the “Phrase” category. With her chosen letters, the board read: “_ ND _ _ A _ _ARD.” Her guess — “Something awkward” — came close but not close enough. The correct answer? “Kind of Awkward.”
Even new host Ryan Seacrest appeared stunned, letting out a sympathetic laugh as the bonus slipped away.
Fans, however, weren’t laughing. Social media erupted with complaints about the show’s increasingly tricky bonus puzzles. “Every night it’s the same — impossible endings,” one user wrote.
Since Pat Sajak’s retirement, viewers claim the game’s difficulty has quietly ramped up. Whether coincidence or strategy, audiences agree on one thing — “Wheel of Fortune” feels a lot tougher these days.
