President Donald Trump has once again drawn attention after a visible bruise appeared on his hand during his appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The mark was spotted on the back of his left hand during a January 22 signing ceremony for the “Board of Peace,” quickly reigniting online speculation about his health. Observers noted the bruise looked similar to one seen last year, which had also triggered public concern and media discussion about the president’s condition.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump offered a straightforward explanation. He said the bruising is a side effect of the daily aspirin he takes for heart health. “They say take aspirin if you like your heart,” he remarked, “but don’t take it if you don’t want bruising.” According to Trump, his doctor told him the medication was optional, but he chose to continue as a precaution. The White House later added that he may have also hit his hand on a table during the signing ceremony.

Medical experts confirm aspirin can increase bruising by affecting blood clotting. Still, the repeated appearances of bruises have kept public curiosity alive, especially after Trump was previously seen using makeup to conceal a similar mark.
