Innocent Walk Turns Into Horror
A routine walk home from school in Kent, England turned traumatic when 3-year-old Bunnie Skinley was viciously attacked by a Cockapoo. Her father, Rowan Skinley, was escorting his three children when the sandy-colored dog lunged at Bunnie unprovoked, dragging her down and savagely biting her arm.
“The dog just lunged at my daughter out of nowhere,” Rowan recounted. “I had to hold her skin together to stop the bleeding.”
Emergency Surgery and Emotional Scars
Bunnie was rushed to Medway Maritime Hospital before being transferred to St Thomas’ Hospital for emergency plastic surgery. Doctors conducted multiple X-rays to assess internal damage. Her recovery is ongoing, and the emotional toll is heavy. Bunnie, who suffers from asthma and a lung condition, remains terrified.
Dog Owner Fled the Scene
Shockingly, the dog’s owner fled immediately, leaving no contact information. Authorities describe the dog as a small, sandy Cockapoo and are urging witnesses to come forward.
Police Investigation and Public Appeal
Kent Police are investigating the case (Ref: 46/102876/25). Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact 01634 792209.
“She didn’t stop. That’s the most frightening part,” Rowan said. “What if it happens to someone else?”
This heartbreaking incident highlights the urgent need for stricter accountability in dog ownership across the UK.
