Monica Riley, once known as the 680-pound woman aiming to become the world’s heaviest person, has had a remarkable journey. Unlike typical ambitions of travel or luxury, Monica’s goal was unconventional: to gain as much weight as possible by consuming enormous amounts of high-fat, high-calorie foods.
Struggling with weight since childhood, Monica chose to embrace her condition rather than fight it. Supported by her husband Sid, she navigated the challenges of extreme obesity, including being bedridden at one point and relying on help for basic movement. Despite widespread concern from people around the globe urging her to reconsider for the sake of her health, Monica remained determined.
Reaching the milestone of 400 kg (approximately 880 pounds), she faced a crucial reality check: being bedridden was not part of her plan. Defying doubts, Monica embraced motherhood twice, proving that happiness and fulfillment come in many forms. Today, she is content and proud in her role as a mother, showing resilience and joy beyond her weight struggles.
