VIDEO: Caitlin Clark Breaks Down In Tears After Groin Injury Flare-Up Against Connecticut Sun Leaves Fans Worried

Caitlin Clark Suffers Another Injury Setback, Fever Fans Left Devastated Ahead of All-Star Weekend

Just as things were starting to click for the Indiana Fever, heartbreak struck again.

After winning three straight games and finally enjoying a stretch with a healthy roster, Coach Stephanie White’s optimism was short-lived. Star rookie Caitlin Clark has re-aggravated her groin injury—an all-too-familiar setback in what’s been a rollercoaster debut season.

With just 30 seconds left against the Connecticut Sun, Clark delivered a perfect assist to Kelsey Mitchell—then grimaced, clutching her groin. The image of her walking off the court in tears sent a chill through the Fever fanbase.

This isn’t new territory for Clark. She’s already missed 10 games due to a quadricep and groin strain. Though her return brought energy, the numbers told a different story: just 50 points on 31.1% shooting in her last four games. Yet, her impact remains undeniable—averaging 9 assists and pulling down 19 rebounds in that same stretch.

Coach White offered little clarity postgame: “No update, just felt a little something in her groin. We’ll evaluate it and see what happens.”

Clark, who was set to captain in the WNBA All-Star Game and compete in the 3-point contest, may now be sidelined again. For Indiana, that’s more than a setback—it’s a gut punch.

With a 12-10 record and mounting injuries, the Fever’s playoff hopes are hanging by a thread. And fans across the league are left asking the same question:

Will Caitlin Clark be ready in time—or is another chapter of her rookie season already closed?
