Trump Snaps Back at Epstein Questions: “You’ve Got to Be Kidding Me”
Donald Trump delivered a blunt six-word response — “You’ve got to be kidding me” — after resurfaced photos and videos reignited scrutiny over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. The footage, which includes scenes from Trump’s 1993 wedding and a 1999 Victoria’s Secret event, shows Trump and Epstein appearing friendly, prompting renewed public speculation.
While campaigning, Trump vowed to release Epstein-related documents, saying he had “no problem” with full transparency. In February 2025, Attorney General Pamela Bondi released the “first phase” of declassified Epstein files. But by July, Trump’s DOJ claimed there was “no basis” for further disclosures and “no incriminating” client list—raising eyebrows among critics.
When questioned about the newly surfaced wedding photos and Epstein’s verified attendance, Trump dismissed the topic entirely. “Are people still talking about this guy? This jerk?” he reportedly said.
Photographer Dafydd Jones, who covered the 1993 wedding, confirmed Epstein was present. He recalled shooting Epstein with Trump months earlier but said many negatives were lost.
The White House also pushed back, calling the photos “out-of-context frame grabs” from “widely attended events,” and accusing CNN of spinning a false narrative.
Despite attempts to shut it down, the Epstein conversation around Trump is far from over.
