MS-13 Gang Leader Extradited to U.S. Under Trump Administration Crackdown
President Donald J. Trump has reinforced his stance against violent criminals, warning that those who bring harm to American communities will be tracked down and prosecuted.
Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales, a senior leader of the notorious MS-13 gang, has been extradited from Mexico to the United States to face serious charges. According to the FBI, Roman-Bardales is accused of playing a major role in drug trafficking and extortion operations in both the U.S. and El Salvador, as well as ordering multiple acts of violence against civilians and rival gangs.
This high-profile arrest marks the third fugitive from the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted” list captured since the start of 2025. FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the extradition shortly after announcing the arrest of another fugitive from the same list.
On January 30, 2025, Arnoldo Jimenez, wanted for first-degree murder, was apprehended. Days earlier, on January 25, Donald Eugene Fields II — a suspect in child rape and child sex trafficking — was taken into custody.
The Trump Administration has pledged to prioritize public safety through aggressive law enforcement action. As the President stated, those who commit violent crimes will face justice, no matter where they try to hide.
