Sydney Sweeney is proving she’s still a fan of classic denim. The 27-year-old actress shared Instagram photos on August 15, showing a night out with friends at a bar. Dressed in blue jeans and a simple white tee, the Euphoria star sang karaoke, posed for group shots, and captioned her post, “Duval diaries,” seemingly referencing Duval County, Florida.
The casual post comes weeks after Sweeney faced criticism over her American Eagle denim campaign, which sparked controversy online for being labeled as tone-deaf. The brand later clarified the ad was “always about the jeans” and emphasized celebrating individuality.
While Sweeney hasn’t directly addressed the backlash, insiders told Us Weekly she believes the issue has been “blown out of proportion” and is instead focused on work. Currently, she’s back on set filming HBO’s Euphoria and promoting her new film Americana, where she plays Penny Jo, a waitress inspired by Dolly Parton.
