Supatra Sasuphan: Life Beyond “Werewolf Syndrome”

Born on August 5, 1999, in Thailand, Supatra “Natty” Sasuphan was diagnosed with Ambras syndrome, a condition so rare only about 50 cases exist worldwide. Often called “werewolf syndrome,” it causes excessive hair growth across the body.

While some feared she’d face rejection, Natty’s mother insisted, “We are lucky she was born into our family.” Surrounded by love, Natty grew up confident despite bullying and stares. Classmates once mocked her as “wolf girl,” but she refused to be defined by appearances.

She excelled in school, loved singing and dancing, and became one of the most popular students. Later, she began shaving her face but never hid her identity. More importantly, she found love — marrying the man she calls “the love of my life.”

Now, Natty inspires others with her message: “Everyone is beautiful and unique in their own way.” Her journey proves true beauty lies in strength, confidence, and love.
