Edwards III, Knicks president Leon Rose and his team have monitored Antetokounmpo’s situation even before the offseason.

“Many around the league believe the Knicks are interested in star hunting, and while that opportunity hasn’t popped up yet, it’s certainly in the cards if the right situation presents itself,” Edwards wrote.

New York has strengthened its roster, signing Guerschon Yabusele and Jordan Clarkson while extending Mikal Bridges for four years at $150 million. Yet, sources suggest the Knicks are still looking for a potential blockbuster, and Giannis could be the ultimate prize if circumstances in Milwaukee shift.

Despite the rumors, Giannis remains committed. At a recent sports convention, he told fans, “All in Milwaukee, baby,” signaling his desire for a long-term career with the Bucks. Still, the Knicks’ quiet interest ensures the league remains alert to one of basketball’s most intriguing “what ifs.”
