Brazil’s Most Tattooed Man Reveals Jaw-Dropping Transformation
Leandro de Souza, once recognized as Brazil’s most tattooed man, has unveiled an incredible transformation after having nearly all his tattoos removed. Beginning at age 13, de Souza’s body became a canvas for over 170 tattoos inspired by rock legends like Nirvana, Guns N’ Roses, and Metallica.
Now 36, he has chosen a complete life overhaul, undergoing painful laser removal sessions. The process, often more agonizing than getting the tattoos, reflects a deeper personal journey.
“After the fifth session of facial tattoo removal… it’s about Jesus Christ,” de Souza wrote on Instagram, revealing the dramatic change.
The São Paulo studio Hell Tattoo highlighted that the process restored his dignity.
“Tattoos don’t define character. What transforms a life are choices, effort, and determination,” the studio stated.
De Souza shared with G1 that after struggling with addiction and personal loss, evangelism helped him rebuild his life. He is now clean from drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes, seeking formal work to support his child and mother.
“Think carefully before a face tattoo. I regret it—but tattoos aren’t condemnation,” he told CNN Brazil.
