Rich Paul announces LeBron James’ FINAL decision as trade rumors keep intensifying

LeBron James Confirms He’s Staying in L.A. Amid Luka Era

LeBron James made history by opting into his $52.6 million player option for the 2025–26 season, becoming the first player in NBA history to enter a 23rd season. But as the Lakers embrace a Luka Doncic-led future, trade rumors swirled: Would LeBron leave Los Angeles?

Rich Paul Ends Speculation

Appearing on The TylilShow Live, LeBron’s agent, Rich Paul, delivered a decisive statement:
“No. The man has a no-trade clause. End of story. It’s up to him if he wants to get traded.”
Paul clarified that any potential trade—whether to Cleveland, Golden State, or New York—would require LeBron’s approval. And according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, no such discussions are happening.

Legacy and Leadership

With Luka signed through 2028 and additions like Marcus Smart and Deandre Ayton, the Lakers are building for the future—but with LeBron still in the mix.
“LeBron always puts himself in the best position to compete,” Paul said.

The Bottom Line

LeBron controls his timeline. The King is staying in L.A.—at least for one more shot at glory.
