Eighteen-year-old Chloe Jones of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, has become known as the Tuscaloosa Miracle after surviving a devastating car crash the night before Thanksgiving. Once a vibrant college freshman at Shelton State Community College, Chloe’s world changed instantly when the vehicle she was in swerved on Lake Nichol Road. Thrown from the car, she was pinned beneath it and left with catastrophic injuries.

Miraculously spared from head trauma, Chloe suffered collapsed lungs, broken ribs, a shattered spine, multiple leg fractures, and severe internal injuries, including the loss of a kidney, spleen, and part of her pancreas. After being rushed from Druid City Hospital to UAB Hospital, she spent weeks on a ventilator as doctors fought to stabilize her.

Despite the immense pain, Chloe’s resilience shines. She faces more surgeries and a long rehabilitation, but her determination—and the unwavering love of her family and community—fuel her recovery. Her mother, Janese, calls the outpouring of support “a blessing beyond words.”

The Tuscaloosa community has rallied, organizing Chloe’s Benefit Concert to help with her medical costs. Through it all, Chloe holds onto one dream: returning to the outdoors she loves, fishing pole or bow in hand—living proof of faith, hope, and survival.
