A Kind Story That Prove a Little Sympathy Goes a Long Way

‘A Surprising Gift in a Louis Vuitton Bag

One day, while working at a fast-food restaurant, I noticed a woman had left her Louis Vuitton bag on a table. After waiting 20 minutes and realizing she wasn’t returning, I decided to bring it to the lost and found. I didn’t peek inside—just dropped it off and went back to work.

A month later, the bag was still unclaimed. My manager casually asked, “It’s been a month… want the bag?” I figured, why not? So, I retrieved it. Curiosity finally got the best of me, and when I opened it, I was shocked to find it empty—except for a single receipt with a handwritten note: “To the girl who needed a new purse during the holidays.”

The receipt showed the bag cost $1,700! It turns out, this was no accident. The lady had left it behind as a generous act of kindness.

That purse gave me a confidence boost, especially in job interviews. Today, I still cherish it as a reminder to always pay kindness forward.
