Teen Mom Loses Vision After Facial Boil Spreads: Family Seeks Urgent Help
In a heartbreaking turn of events, 17-year-old Filipino mother Mary Ann Regacho lost her vision within hours after pressing a boil on her nose bridge — a pimple she initially dismissed as hormonal.
After giving birth at 16, Mary noticed the swelling, which gradually grew larger. As the infection spread across her face and blurred her eyesight, her concern turned to fear.
“I thought it would go away on its own,” Mary shared. “Now, I’m scared my face may never look the same again.”
Without access to proper medical care, she tried natural remedies — but nothing worked. Her husband, Albert Sales, works a low-income farming job, barely earning enough to support Mary and their baby.
After a year of worsening symptoms, Mary finally went to the hospital, only to be turned away due to unpaid fees.
Now, Albert is making a heartfelt plea to the public:
“We’re just trying to survive. Any help could save my wife’s sight — and her life.”
The family is seeking donations to afford life-saving treatment.
