Barron Trump’s childhood was anything but ordinary. Growing up in the opulence of Trump Tower, he moved to the White House at just 11 years old—becoming the first “first son” to live there since JFK Jr. Despite the spotlight on his famous family, Barron was largely kept out of it, thanks to his fiercely protective mother, Melania Trump.
Melania ensured Barron had a creative space from an early age, even letting him draw on the walls of his Trump Tower bedroom. When Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016, Melania kept Barron in New York a little longer so he could finish the school year, before joining his father in Washington, where Barron attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal School.
While in the White House, Barron made rare public appearances, traveling quietly with his parents. Melania handled all public communications for him, even objecting when Donald posted memes involving their son.
One special moment stands out: Barron once invited 80 of his classmates to the White House for a private tour and meet-and-greet with the president and first lady. Now 17, he’s studying at Oxbridge Academy in Florida. With college looming, the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School is on the radar—his father’s alma mater. Whether Barron steps into the political arena or carves his own path, only time will tell.
