Bronny James Blocks Out Lakers Trade Rumors, Focuses on Summer League
As speculation swirls around LeBron James’ Lakers future, Bronny James is making it clear he’s locked in on basketball, not headlines.
“We Don’t Talk About That Stuff”
Speaking ahead of the Lakers’ Summer League debut, Bronny brushed off questions about his father’s trade rumors.
“Honestly, I didn’t know anything about it,” he said. “A friend called to tell me. At home, my dad and I don’t talk about those things. He just tells me to stay focused on the present.”
LeBron’s Advice: Stay Present
Bronny revealed his father’s message is simple: don’t get distracted.
“When things like that come up, he tells me not to worry or even look at it. His advice is always about what will help me improve.”
Locked In for Summer League
Bronny will take the floor alongside rookie Dalton Knecht at the California Classic. After logging just 181 NBA minutes last year, he’s aiming to carve out a bigger role. Now fully healthy and confident two years after his heart scare, Bronny says he feels stronger than ever.
Focused, poised, and determined—Bronny James is ready to write his own Lakers chapter.
