Dennis Rodman Shuts Down LeBron vs. Jordan Debate: “Michael Is the Greatest Ever”
The NBA’s endless LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan debate resurfaced on ESPN’s First Take, but Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman made his stance crystal clear. When asked to compare his former teammate to LeBron, Rodman didn’t hesitate:
“Michael is the greatest player ever.”
Rodman Praises Jordan’s Durability
Rodman highlighted Jordan’s toughness, noting that he rarely missed games and never asked for rest: “He only got injured once. He never asked to sit out. He never asked for anything — only respect and money.”
Underpaid and Underrated
Rodman also reminded viewers how underpaid Jordan was during much of his career. “For the first eight or nine years, he was barely making three million. Today’s guys are making 40 million a year.” He added that Jordan’s bigger paydays only came late, during Chicago’s second three-peat.
MJ in Today’s Game
Rodman didn’t hold back when imagining Jordan in the modern NBA: “If Michael played in this era, he’d average 50 points.”
For Rodman, there’s no debate: “Why do you even discuss the GOAT? Why? Michael is the greatest of all time.”
