Lauren Alaina Cancels Shows Following Father’s Passing
Popular country music artist Lauren Alaina has announced the cancellation of her upcoming shows to focus on her father’s passing. In an emotional social media post, the “Road Less Traveled” singer shared, “I really don’t have words yet. We lost my dad last night.”
Alaina informed her fans that she would be prioritizing family time over performances scheduled in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte. She expressed her gratitude for the support, stating, “I will be spending time at home with my family,” and thanked her followers for their “understanding and prayers.”
Many country music stars have reached out to express their condolences. Jake Owen wrote, “Lauren, I’m so sorry for your loss. Love and strength from my family to you.” MacKenzie Porter added, “We will keep you and your family in our prayers,” while Martina McBride sent her “so much love.”
Just weeks before his passing, Alaina shared a heartfelt Father’s Day tribute to her dad, referring to him as “my old man” and celebrating his big heart. The cause of her father’s death has not been disclosed, as Alaina was touring with Jason Aldean at the time.
