Donald Trump, 79, is facing intense online criticism after sharing a controversial AI-generated video on Truth Social that many have branded “disgusting” and “racist.” The clip, posted on Friday, February 6, promotes conspiracy claims about the 2020 election and Dominion Voting Systems.

Outrage Over Obama Depiction

Near the end of the minute-long video, an AI image appears showing Barack and Michelle Obama’s faces superimposed onto monkeys’ bodies while “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” plays. The imagery sparked immediate outrage across social media platforms, particularly X, where users condemned the post as overtly racist.

One user wrote, “There’s no bottom,” while another said the video was “beneath the office of the presidency.” Others called it “racism at its peak,” demanding accountability.

White House Response and Political Condemnation

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed the backlash, claiming the clip was “an internet meme” portraying Trump as the “King of the Jungle.” However, prominent figures pushed back. California Governor Gavin Newsom labeled the post “disgusting behaviour,” while strategist Adam Parkhomenko called it “overt racism with no excuse.”

The incident adds to a growing list of past accusations surrounding Trump’s rhetoric and conduct.
