Eric Trump has made a startling claim, suggesting that political forces tried to “orchestrate a divorce” between his father, former President Donald Trump, and stepmother Melania.
The statement came during Eric’s heated appearance on Newsmax with Rob Schmitt, where he accused the Department of Justice and President Joe Biden’s administration of waging a relentless campaign against his family. “They raided Mar-a-Lago, they raided my father’s home, they even raided Melania’s closet and Barron’s room,” Eric said. “They tried to get him divorced; they tried to separate our family.”
The comments followed viral footage of Trump and Melania appearing to argue aboard a helicopter — later debunked as a misunderstanding about a UN escalator malfunction, which Trump called “sabotage.”
Despite Eric’s dramatic claims, no evidence has surfaced supporting allegations of an attempted “divorce plot.” Still, his remarks mark one of the most direct acknowledgments of outside pressure on the Trumps’ marriage.
“They weaponized everything,” Eric said, defending his family’s unity amid political chaos.
The Trumps, married since 2005, continue to present a united front despite years of public scrutiny.
