Tragic Family Murders in Argentina and the U.S. Shock Communities
Two devastating family tragedies — one in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and another in Kalispell, Montana — have left investigators and loved ones searching for answers.
On May 21, 2025, a housekeeper discovered the bodies of a family of four inside a sixth-floor apartment in Villa Crespo. Authorities confirmed that Laura Leguizamón, 50, fatally stabbed her husband Bernardo Seltzer, 53, and their two sons, Ian (15) and Ivo (12), before taking her own life. A handwritten letter and a locked door supported the murder-suicide theory. Leguizamón had reportedly been undergoing psychiatric treatment.
Just days earlier, in Montana, Nicholas Olson-Hartley, 33, reportedly killed his wife Katie and their two young daughters before calling 911 and taking his own life. The tight-knit Silverbrook Estates community is still reeling from the shock.
These back-to-back family tragedies underscore the silent struggles within households. As both cases remain under investigation, communities are left grieving and urging greater awareness of mental health and family support.
Rest in peace to the victims.
