Texas Border Crackdown: Violent Smuggler Arrested After High-Speed Chase
In a powerful display of the federal government’s border enforcement strategy, recent operations across Texas have led to multiple arrests and convictions — including a violent smuggling attempt that shocked authorities.
🚨 Assault on a Border Agent in Katy, Texas
During a standard checkpoint inspection on U.S. Highway 57 near Katy, 26-year-old Kevin Dominguez was flagged by a Border Patrol canine unit. Upon opening the trunk, agents discovered an individual hiding inside.
Rather than surrendering, Dominguez rammed his vehicle into an agent and fled, triggering a high-speed pursuit. Aerial surveillance later captured him and another suspect, an undocumented Honduran national, fleeing into a nearby field.
“This case highlights the growing boldness of smugglers — and the danger they pose to our agents and communities,” said a DHS official.
🎯 Zero-Tolerance in Action
The incident reaffirms the administration’s zero-tolerance stance on border-related crimes. Dominguez is now facing multiple felony charges, including assault on a federal officer and human smuggling.
