Hulk Hogan’s Cause of Death Revealed—A Look Back at His Life and Legacy
Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, passed away on July 24 at the age of 71. His cause of death has now been officially confirmed as acute myocardial infarction—commonly known as a heart attack—according to documents obtained by Us Weekly.
The report also revealed Hogan had been battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a form of blood cancer that was not publicly known. His body is set to be cremated.
On the morning of his death, Hogan suffered cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home. Emergency responders rushed him to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Hogan had recently undergone major heart surgery, according to sources, and was believed to be recovering well. He is survived by his wife, Sky Daily, his children Brooke and Nick, and his grandchildren.
Though estranged from daughter Brooke at the time of his death, Hogan remained close to his son. A WWE icon, Hall of Famer, and reality TV star, Hogan’s legacy spans generations—both in and out of the ring.
