WWE Legend Hulk Hogan Passes Away at 71
The wrestling world is mourning the loss of an icon. On July 24th, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, born Terrence Gene Bollea, passed away at the age of 71 in Clearwater, Florida.
Emergency responders arrived at Hogan’s home early that morning, attempting to revive him for 30 minutes before he was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead. Clearwater Police Major Nate Burnside confirmed there was no foul play involved.
Later, his family released a heartfelt statement on social media:
“With heavy hearts, we confirm the loss of our beloved Terry Bollea, known as Hulk Hogan. Surrounded by loved ones, he left behind decades of memories for fans worldwide. Please respect our privacy during this time.”
Cause of Death Revealed
A week after his passing, Hogan’s cause of death was confirmed as an acute myocardial infarction (heart attack). Medical reports also revealed he had atrial fibrillation and a history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).

WWE honored Hogan, saying:
“He helped launch WWE into global stardom. He will never be forgotten.”
