Pop star Katy Perry is under fire once again, this time for debuting a metallic, space-themed outfit during her “Lifetimes” tour just weeks after her Blue Origin spaceflight.
“KP143” Takes Off – But Fans Aren’t Impressed
On Saturday, the “E.T.” singer shared photos of her futuristic bodysuit, complete with metal cuffs and a matching hat, on X, captioning it, “Introducing KP143.” The look coincides with her recent 11-minute trip to space as part of Blue Origin’s all-female mission.
However, fans weren’t thrilled. “You went to space for 11 minutes and now you’re an alien?” one user wrote, while another called it a “desperate attempt to stay relevant.”
Public Backlash Continues
Perry’s performance in Mexico City, where she also wore robotic outfits and danced to “Part of Me,” failed to win back critics. Many accused her and other participants—including Gayle King and Lauren Sánchez—of wasting resources.
“While I hope your damage control is successful, this isn’t the way,” one person commented.
Despite the heat, Perry remains unapologetic in her cosmic creative direction.
