Prince George Nears 12th Birthday as Royals Face Major School Decision
As Prince George turns 12 on July 22, the Prince and Princess of Wales are preparing for more than just summer vacation—they’re facing a major decision about his future education.
Currently finishing his final year at Lambrook School, where students stay until age 13, George will soon transition to secondary school. The royal couple must now choose between Eton College, where Prince William studied, and Marlborough College, the alma mater of Kate Middleton.
According to The Daily Mail, Eton is the likely frontrunner due to its proximity to the family’s Windsor home. George has reportedly toured the prestigious school, causing a stir among parents and students alike.
“The reality of his destiny has begun to hit home,” said royal expert Jennie Bond. “He often looks serious during royal events—understandably so.”
Turning 12 also marks a royal protocol shift—George will no longer fly with his siblings, ensuring the monarchy’s line of succession is protected.
Despite the pressure, George still enjoys lighthearted moments with his family, often seen smiling at football matches and public outings.
