Kim Kardashian Hits Major Legal Milestone: Finishes California’s Law Office Study Program
Kim Kardashian just crossed a major milestone in her quest to become a lawyer—completing California’s Law Office Study Program (LOSP), a non-traditional yet legally recognized route that allows aspiring attorneys to bypass law school by apprenticing under practicing lawyers.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Kim reflected on her six-year journey, which began in 2018 with 75 college credits and a dream inspired by her passion for criminal justice reform. Under the guidance of legal mentors Van Jones, Jessica Jackson, and Erin Haney, Kim clocked over 5,000 study hours while raising four kids and managing multiple businesses.
She previously passed the notoriously difficult “baby bar” in 2021 after multiple attempts—a key hurdle in the LOSP path. “The journey was real, and so is the accomplishment,” she wrote.
Though critics note she didn’t attend a traditional law school or take the LSAT, supporters praise her perseverance and the rigor of the LOSP. Her achievement fuels ongoing conversations around alternative education, proving that commitment—not convention—can lead to real success.
