Hollywood icon Harrison Ford proved once again he’s a real-life hero after stopping to help a woman who crashed her car off California State Route 126. The 75-year-old Indiana Jones star witnessed the gray sedan veer off the highway and roll into an embankment, hitting a tree, according to TMZ.
Ford, along with other motorists, immediately pulled over to assist the driver, who suffered only minor injuries. Photos from the scene show Ford calmly speaking with first responders as emergency crews arrived.
Santa Paula Police Officer Matt Alonzo confirmed Ford was traveling behind the vehicle when it lost control. “He acted as a good Samaritan, just like everybody else, and helped before emergency services arrived,” Alonzo told USA Today. Ford and others reportedly helped pull the woman from the wreckage before paramedics took her to a nearby hospital.
The actor was reportedly leaving a local airport used by hobby pilots. Known for his passion for flying, Ford has survived two aviation accidents in past years. Despite his Hollywood fame, moments like this remind fans that Ford’s courage extends far beyond the big screen.
