Macaulay Culkin Is Getting His First Star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

Macaulay Culkin, renowned for his iconic role in “Home Alone,” is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, emphasized Culkin’s significant contribution to pop culture over the decades, particularly through his role in the beloved holiday classic.

Culkin, famous for portraying Kevin McCallister in the first two “Home Alone” films, will be honored in the Motion Pictures category with the Walk of Fame’s 2,765th star. The presentation ceremony is scheduled for December 1st at 6354 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood. Catherine O’Hara, who portrayed Culkin’s mother in the “Home Alone” movies, and Natasha Lyonne, who starred alongside him in “Adam Green’s Aladdin,” will be speakers at the ceremony, adding a nostalgic touch to the event.

Martinez highlighted the significance of O’Hara’s participation, noting the reunion with her movie son for the ceremony. While Culkin is best known for his role in the Christmas classic, his extensive repertoire includes notable films like “Richie Rich” (1994) and “My Girl” (1991). Despite gaining fame as a child star, Culkin has navigated his career with selectivity, later branching out into more diverse projects, including his recent role in the popular TV series “American Horror Story” (2021).
