Madonna Opens Up About Near-Death Experience and Recovery Journey
Madonna recently shared details of a terrifying health scare, revealing that she believes she communicated with God during a “near-death” hospital stay. Last June, the iconic singer battled a severe bacterial infection that left her in intensive care for several days.
A Brush with Death
During a performance in Los Angeles, Madonna recounted her ordeal, explaining that her first word upon awakening from a four-day induced coma was “no.” Reflecting on this, she interpreted it as a divine conversation. “It was pretty scary – obviously I didn’t know for four days because I was in an induced coma, but when I woke up, the first word I said was, ‘No,’” she recalled. “I’m pretty sure God was saying to me, ‘You wanna come with us? You wanna come with me, you wanna go this way?’ And I said, ‘No. No!’”
Gratitude and Recovery
Expressing gratitude to her doctor, who was present in the audience, Madonna shared that the doctor had advised her to spend time in the sun as part of her recovery. “It was so hard for me to walk from my house to the backyard and sit in the sun,” she remembered. “I know that sounds insane, but it was difficult.”
Letting Go and Regaining Strength
Madonna also spoke about the challenge of not knowing when she could fully regain her strength and feel like herself again. “It was a strange thing to finally not feel like I was in control. That was my lesson to let go,” she continued.
Back on Tour
Currently, Madonna is in the midst of the North American leg of her world tour, which had been delayed due to her health scare. Despite the frightening experience, she has returned to the stage, continuing to captivate audiences with her resilience and legendary performances.
Madonna’s revelation underscores her incredible strength and determination, inspiring fans worldwide as she continues her journey both personally and professionally.
