Massive Fire Erupts at Dubai’s Marina Pinnacle Tower—All Residents Evacuated Safely
A towering inferno broke out Friday night at the 67-story Marina Pinnacle skyscraper in Dubai Marina, prompting a swift response from emergency crews. The fire, which began around 9:30 p.m., raged for six hours before being fully contained by Dubai Civil Defence teams. Remarkably, no injuries were reported.
All 3,820 residents across 764 apartments were safely evacuated. Temporary shelters were arranged for those displaced.
“We are safe, and that’s what matters,” said Indian resident Prateek M., who escaped with his family through thick smoke.
Another resident, Raza, recalled returning to find streets blocked and stepping in to help others find transport.
Authorities are still probing the cause of the fire, which is believed to have started on the upper floors. Video footage shared online shows flames engulfing multiple stories. Notably, the same tower experienced a smaller fire in 2015 linked to a kitchen accident.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) briefly suspended metro operations in the vicinity to support emergency teams.
