Michael Madsen Breaks Silence on Son Hudson’s Tragic Death
Actor Michael Madsen has opened up for the first time about the heartbreaking loss of his 26-year-old son, Hudson Madsen, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Oahu, Hawaii, in what authorities suspect was a suicide.
In a statement to The Los Angeles Times, the Reservoir Dogs star expressed devastation and disbelief:
“I am in shock… My last text from him was, ‘I love you dad.’”
Madsen added he saw no warning signs, saying Hudson seemed “happy” during their last conversation.
“I didn’t see any signs of depression. I’m just trying to understand what happened.”
Hudson’s grieving family released a statement through Metro:
“We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief… His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.”
Hudson, who lived in Hawaii with his wife Carlie, had moved to Oahu in 2019. He was Michael’s eldest son with wife DeAnna Madsen. The couple also share two sons, Calvin and Luke. Michael has two older sons, Christian and Max, from a previous marriage.
The family has requested privacy during this time of immense sorrow.
