Mother Demands Justice After Tragic Murder of Three Daughters in Washington
Whitney Decker is seeking answers following the heartbreaking deaths of her three daughters — Paityn (9), Evelyn (8), and Olivia (5) — found murdered near their father’s truck in remote Chelan County, Washington. Their father, Travis Decker, 32, charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping, remains at large. Each girl was discovered with plastic bags over their heads and their wrists bound with zip ties.
Travis Decker, a former Army Ranger battling mental illness and homelessness, had legal visitation rights but failed to return the children, prompting Whitney to notify authorities. Despite his troubled history and the urgency, no AMBER Alert was issued, only a lesser Endangered Missing Person Alert, which lacks critical emergency phone notifications.
Authorities suspect Decker is hiding in the wilderness, known for living off-grid. Whitney, supported by family, is pushing for reforms in the AMBER Alert system, insisting that faster action might have prevented this tragedy. She also calls attention to systemic failures in veteran support services that may have contributed to this devastating outcome.
“Earlier intervention could have saved my daughters,” Whitney said, demanding change.
