After 19 Hours of Labor, a Shocking Response and a Lesson in Partnership

After a grueling 19-hour labor, I expected support—not a $9,000 hospital bill and my husband’s cold remark: “Your bill, your problem.” Holding our newborn daughter, Lila, I was stunned by his refusal to share the medical cost.
