Patrick Ewing Names Michael Jordan as the GOAT
The NBA’s GOAT debate spans generations, and Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing has made his stance clear.
“Everybody asks that question,” Ewing said in a recent interview. “And to me, I think Michael Jordan is the best in my era. The way that he played and what he brought to the table.”
Jordan’s Killer Instinct
While Ewing praised stars like LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, he highlighted what set Jordan apart: an unrelenting mindset from the start.
“LeBron is great, but Michael was a killer from day one. He was an assassin from day one. I thought that LeBron had to learn how to be an assassin,” Ewing explained.
Playing With Legends
Despite his GOAT vote, Ewing admitted he’d choose LeBron as a teammate.
“If you ask me who I’d wanna play with, I would say LeBron, because I wanna score,” he joked. “LeBron is a lot like Magic. He knows how to get people the ball.”
The Verdict
Even with LeBron’s historic career and longevity, Ewing’s loyalty remains with MJ:
“He became a scorer as he got older, he’s great. But I’m gonna say Michael.”
