Tiger Woods Gears Up for PGA Tour Return With Trump Golf Outing
As anticipation builds for Tiger Woods’ return to the PGA Tour, the golf legend spent a high-profile weekend on the course with former President Donald Trump in South Florida. The two teed off at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach just days before Woods is set to compete at Torrey Pines, marking his first official PGA Tour appearance since The Open.
Woods is heading to San Diego for the Genesis Invitational, relocated to Torrey Pines due to wildfire damage near Riviera Country Club. With eight career wins at Torrey Pines, including his legendary 2008 U.S. Open victory, the venue carries deep significance. Still, questions remain, as Woods has not completed a full 72-hole event since last year’s Masters.
Beyond competition, Woods’ name has surfaced amid ongoing PGA Tour negotiations involving Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. A recent PGA Tour statement praised Trump’s role in pushing talks toward reunification.
The moment was also personal. Woods recently shared the loss of his mother, Kultida, calling her “my biggest fan and greatest supporter.” Trump, a longtime friend, offered condolences, honoring her lasting influence on the champion’s life and career.
