Justin, a 13-year-old boy, struggled to fit in at school due to his family’s financial struggles. He was often bullied by his classmates for wearing old clothes and carrying a hand-me-down bag. The emotional toll became too much, and Justin pleaded with his mother to transfer schools, but even at his new school, the bullying continued.
One day, while riding the bus home, his classmates mocked him, but the driver, Carl, stayed out of it. At the final stop, Carl realized Justin hadn’t gotten off the bus. To his surprise, Justin was busy fixing a broken seat that had been an issue for months.
When Carl asked why Justin did it, the boy explained he didn’t want anyone else to get hurt and wanted to help out. Touched by the boy’s actions, Carl confessed to the other kids the next day that it was Justin, not him, who had fixed the seat. The students, ashamed of their behavior, apologized to Justin and later surprised him with a gift to show their appreciation.
