Veteran comedian Aries Spears recently took aim at Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese, calling her game “garbage” and her fanbase “delusional.” Despite leading the WNBA in rebounds per game (13.1) and securing the second-highest total rebounds (446), Reese’s inefficient shooting became a focal point of criticism. Spears emphasized that while fans compare Reese to players like Caitlin Clark, he believes Reese’s skillset lacks finesse, calling her style “like she’s part of the Special Olympics.”
Reese’s shooting stats were notably inconsistent. She converted only 44.5% of her close-range shots and just 11.1% from five to nine feet. Despite averaging 13.6 points per game, her overall shooting percentage was 39.1%, highlighting her struggles on offense.
Rapper Joe Budden also weighed in, advising Reese to cut down on her public appearances, unlike Caitlin Clark, who he noted has a more reserved media presence. Reese has been active with her podcast and recent appearances on shows like “Wild ‘n Out.” However, she has yet to respond to Budden’s critique.
