Steph Curry Reveals His Dream Teammate — And It’s a True NBA Legend
Stephen Curry, already etched in NBA history as one of the greatest shooters of all time, has played alongside many stars—but there’s one legend he wishes he had the chance to team up with: Tim Duncan.
On his new podcast Heat Check, in a heartfelt conversation with his father Dell Curry, Steph opened up about his admiration for the five-time NBA champion. “Tim Duncan,” he said without hesitation. “I saw the tail end of his career when I played one playoff series against him. He’s one of the greatest power forwards ever.”
Curry praised Duncan’s loyalty to the Spurs and his quiet, commanding leadership: “No matter when you played with him, people had amazing things to say about his leadership. He’s a true champion and a winner.”
This isn’t the first time Curry has expressed admiration for Duncan. In 2023, he named him to his all-time dream team lineup.
As Kevin Durant recently noted, Curry is “still playing great ball,” proving that even legends have legends they look up to.
