Vandalism at Trump Turnberry Sparks Arrests and Political Backlash
Police have arrested 33-year-old Kieran Robson for malicious mischief following vandalism at Trump Turnberry, a luxury Scottish golf resort owned by Donald Trump. Two other individuals—a 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman—were also detained but later released pending further investigation.
Red paint was sprayed across the clubhouse and signage, and parts of the golf course were intentionally damaged. Despite the incident, Trump’s team confirmed the resort remains open, with repair efforts already underway and enhanced security now in place.
Former President Trump condemned the act, calling it “an attack on civility and the rule of law.” He praised UK law enforcement for their swift response and vowed to pursue legal action. “This resort stands for hard work, success, and Scottish pride,” he said.
Trump Turnberry, acquired in 2014, is a deeply personal project for Trump, who has invested over $200 million into its restoration.
While some suspect political motives, both supporters and critics agree the vandalism went too far. Authorities continue urging the public to assist with the ongoing investigation.
