Elon Musk vs. Donald Trump: Tesla, Tensions & Accusations
A public feud between Elon Musk and Donald Trump has escalated, casting doubt on the future of a Tesla Model S purchased by the President in March.
Tensions began when Musk stepped down from his role at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), thanking Trump for the opportunity. However, just days later, Musk criticized Trump’s economic bill, labeling it a $3 trillion deficit disaster.
The situation worsened on June 5 when Musk posted on X, suggesting Trump is named in the Epstein files—a claim Trump has not addressed. Instead, Trump responded via Truth Social, claiming he fired Musk and revoked the EV mandate, calling the billionaire “crazy.” Musk fired back, calling Trump’s post “such an obvious lie.”
Despite the chaos, Trump remains “unconcerned” and dismissed any talk of reconciliation, sources say.
What Happens to Trump’s Tesla?
A White House official confirmed that due to the souring relationship, Trump may now sell or gift the red Tesla—previously designated for staff use only.
“You mean the man who has lost his mind?” Trump allegedly said.
