White House Sparks Confusion with Trump Star Wars Meme Featuring Sith Symbolism
A day after backlash over an AI-generated image of Donald Trump dressed as the Pope, the White House stirred further controversy on Star Wars Day by posting another meme—this time depicting Trump as a muscular Jedi. However, sharp-eyed fans noticed a glaring issue: the red lightsaber, typically associated with Sith Lords, not Jedi.
“You’re not the Rebellion — you’re the Empire. May the 4th be with you,” the White House posted on X, directing criticism at political opponents.
The image, complete with bald eagles and the American flag, appeared to celebrate Trump as a heroic figure. Yet, the Sith symbolism sparked confusion: was Trump being cast as a villain or hero?
Earlier, Trump was criticized for sharing an AI photo portraying him as the Pope—a move condemned by Catholic leaders.
“There is nothing clever or funny about this image,” wrote the New York State Catholic Conference. “Do not mock us.”
With Pope Francis’ recent death and solemn Vatican proceedings underway, critics deemed the memes tone-deaf and disrespectful.
Happy May the 4th to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting so hard to to bring Sith Lords, Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, & well known MS-13 Gang Members, back into our Galaxy. You’re not the Rebellion—you’re the Empire.
