A powerful campaign by Australian non-profit YGAP has taken social media by storm, featuring male celebrities proudly displaying one painted fingernail to raise awareness about child abuse. The initiative, known as the #PolishedMan campaign, urges men worldwide to “Nail it to end it,” symbolizing their stand against violence toward children.
The campaign’s message is rooted in a grim truth—men are responsible for 90% of all child sexual assaults. By painting one nail, participants represent the one in five children who suffer from abuse each year.
Celebrities like Zac Efron, Chris Hemsworth, and Olympic swimmer Michael Klim have joined the cause, using their platforms to spread awareness and encourage donations. So far, over 61,000 supporters have contributed more than $513,000, funding trauma recovery and prevention programs for young victims.
Major brands have also stepped in, helping expand the campaign’s global reach.
The movement continues until October 15, proving that even a small gesture—a single painted nail—can spark massive change and meaningful conversation.
